Local know - how, if they are not on site

Sometimes when you travel, you need local know-how. Perhaps your car breaks down and you need to know how local you are to get ripped. Or you need some food, but not having to pay tourist prices. Or do you simply want a different kind of experience you usually do when you're out to get. Maybe you want to experience what life is like there.

It 'hard to have local know-how, if they are not on the site. You do not know where everything is, youknow the local customs, we can not say that the tourist traps of local hang-outs. There are some options you have access to local know-how, though.

Prepare
You can begin to acquire local know-how before you begin your trip. Do some research. Buy and read a guide. View photos and videos of the region. Maps and try to key area attractions found. Talking to people who were there. Find out what you can about the area you wantto visit.

Explore
Probably not in local know-how to win on a pre-planned, scheduled tour. You have to get off the usual tourist routes and look around for yourself. Walks and check out shops, markets and restaurants. Get a map and turn around and become familiar with the environment.

What to learn. The locals and see where they shop, such as restaurants, where they often go to church or buy groceries. Are you looking for places that have localPeople in them and you will begin to acquire some local know-how.

Talk
Talk to people. Ask the locals where the best place to get food. Ask someone where his car to get processed. Talk to the person at the bar and ask what they recommend local attractions. Most people are happy, their experience and share their knowledge with you if they think you are really interested.

The people who live in an area are the source of local know-how. Youone of them. You can read a book to walk around, people watch or talk to them, but the only way for local know-how of the local population. If it is better to avoid Burger, the hotel or the fastest route to the airport, are local people with the information you need and want. Treat them with kindness and respect and engage them in conversation and share information with you.
